Prior to enlistment Hugh Campbell was a laborer and lived in Walton, ON. Hugh Campbell was born in McKillop Township in Huron County on October 22, 1895. Hugh Campbell was 5’ 11” and had a dark complexion, gray eyes and brown hair. He was Presbyterian by faith.
654067, McGARVA, (Pte.) Andrew, “C” Company enlisted in Clinton, his home address pre-enlistment. His next of kin was listed as Ms. Margaret McGarva of Clinton, ON.
654071, McKINLEY, (Sgt.) William, “D” Company enlisted in Seaforth. He was a native of Scotland and had prior military experience with the Imperial Forces. The name of his next of kin was Mrs. Mary Chapman of Atwood, ON. The late Dr. F.G. Thompson of Clinton said, “Sergeant Bill McKinley was a member of our 161st quartette group.”
