His next of kin was Peter Scott, Brussels. Walter Frank Scott had prior military experience with the 33rd Regiment. At Clinton, where he received his commission, he was pictured in the Spring of 1916 with the 161st officers, seated in the front row, fourth from the left.
Prior to WWI, Walter Scott was a public school teacher.
