Enlistments – January 28, 1916

On January 28, 1916, the following three men enlisted in the 161st Huron Battalion. One of these three men did not return home at the war’s end.

654374, ADAMS, (Pte.) Thomas, “B” Company enlisted in Auburn. His next of kin was Florence Adams of Auburn, ON. Private Tom Adams had previous military experience with the 10th Regiment.

654342, NEDIGER, (Pte.) Clarence “Austin,” Signals enlisted in Clinton on January 28, 1916.

654382, NIVINS, (Pte.) Charles Alexander, “Blyth’s Own”  enlisted in Auburn. His next of kin was James D. Nivins, R.R. 3, Auburn, ON. Pte. Charles Nivins had prior military experience with the 33rd Hurons.
