Clarence Shepherd Signs Up

Enlistments – July 8, 1916

One man enlisted with the 161st Huron Battalion on July 8, 1916.

654885, SHEPHERD, (Pte.) Clarence Percival, “D” Company, born on March 24, 1885 in Clinton, ON, enlisted at Camp Borden. His next of kin was his mother, Mary Jane Shepherd of Clinton, ON. Prior to his enlistment, he worked as a banker in Clinton. At 31, Private Clarence Percival Shepherd was 5’ 5” tall with a fair complexion, blue eyes and fair hair and was Methodist, according to his attestation papers.

Private Clarence Shepherd survived WWI and in 1935 was living in Iroquois in eastern Ontario.
