Battalion Gets Off Train at Halifax and Wait to Embark on Troop Ship

Battalion Events – October 30, 1916

On October 30, 1916, immediately on arrival (at Halifax), ‘The 161st Huron Battalion embarked on the troopship, the S.S. Lapland. It then joined a large convoy in the harbour waiting to be escorted to England by British war ships. (LWC)’
