157 Battalion Men to Fight with 58th Battalion in France by January 1917

War Events – December 4, 1916

On December 4, 1916, the 157 men (7 officers and 150 men) from the 161st Huron Battalion were announced as being taken on by the 58th Battalion.  They arrived in late December as reinforcements and were taken on strength in France at Maison Blanche, a ruin from the fighting of 1915 on the road from Arras to Souchez.
