40 Men March to Ash Ranges for Musketry Course

Battalion Diary – February 27, 1917

Location: Witley Camp, North Surrey

8:30am  Firing Party of 40 other ranks paraded for Route march to Ash Ranges, to fire general Musketry course.

Remainder of the Battalion carried on during the day with the daily Syllabus of Training.

2:00pm  Firing and Butt Party who went to Ash Ranges on February 15, 1917 returned. The Firing party having completed Parts 1 to 4 inclusive.

7:00pm  Lecture given to the Officers in the Ante-room of the Officers’ Mess by the O.C. (Officer-in-Command)
