Transports Ordered to Mobilize During State of Emergency

Battalion Diary – April 30, 1917

Location: Witley Camp, North Surrey

The Battalion carried out individual training during the day, and carried out Relief of Trenches on THURSLEY COMMON, South, by night.

State of emergency existing affecting Transports, they were ordered out at 2:45pm. Forty-five (45) minutes warning given.
